Sunday...car boot day! And today despite the rain was well worth going. Some old rolls of wallpaper which I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet.. may work into a collage or use on a wall behind my work... thinking ahead to the possible collage party...fingers crossed! Lots of books too... 3 for a £1 can't go wrong there- not exactly light summer reading but I'm thinking of using literature more in my work...thinking of using this space as a way of filtering quotes and bits that give me ideas...we shall see.

So the end of the degree is finally within reach...exhibition night tonight. It's been a difficult year for many reasons, although the people I've met and the possibilities for my work going forward are a good place to be. Freedom from the research portfolio is a great feeling - space to wander and pursue tangents without needing to link it all into one clear package. The feeling of being entrapped by words written 7 months..3 months...a week...a day before... has ended. Hurray!

This blog is for my ongoing work and thoughts going forward...a reminder to me to keep going and not slip into a 9-5 black hole. Lots to do...lots to apply for...will keep you posted.
